December 12-15 2012

It was all hands on deck as Gordinier Group headed to Sin City in December to be a part of the National Finals Rodeo, sponsored by Ram Trucks.
The valet area of the MGM Grand (the largest casino in Las Vegas) was taken over by the Ram driving experience.

This creatively designed course featured 3 totally unique Ram expeiences:
1. Off-road course – Guests rode along in 2013 Ram 1500 or 2500 Power Wagons over I-beams, rollers, culverts, mobile mountain and an acceleration/braking lane.
2. Trailer Towing – Guests experienced the unmatched towing prowess of the Ram 3500 as it pulled either a goose-neck trailer (with 14,000 lb. Case/New Holland Puma tractor), or an outfitted, bumper-pull horse trailer (provided by NRS).
3. Payload – Guests rode in a 1500 or 2500 Ram, fitted with 1,000 lb. hay bale in the bed, as it deftly maneuvered through a slalom course.

Gordinier Group professional drivers handled the driving duties while providing NFR attendees with all of the Ram product information that they could handle. This is our audience, and these cowboys/girls are some of our favorite guests!

What a week!

If the automotive ride & drive/event marketing industry required continuing education credits, this would be the class that everyone would sign up for.
Steve Gordinier and Ryan Quick were fortunate to be able to travel to Firebird Raceway (Chandler, AZ) to attend Bondurant’s 4-day Grand Prix Road Racing class.

The class consisted of intensive classroom sessions, a deep dive in vehicle dynamics, plenty of driving drills (skid car, accident avoidance, trail braking, throttle control, heel-toe shifting, race starts, and more), and of course, plenty of track time.
The Bondurant instructors are world-class – this school is where the top race drivers go to learn. On tap for our class were race-prepped C6 Corvette Grand Sports and Formula Mazda cars.

What an amazing learning experience! A wealth of information from this class will be applied to our future events, GG staff driver training, and performance course construction.

November 22-25, 2012

Gordinier Group professional drivers traveled to the Phoenix Convention Center to work the 2012 Arizona International Auto Show, hosted by Motor Trend Autoshows, LLC.

Once again, Chrysler Group, LLC treated hungry Jeep enthusiasts (and newbies alike) to an exhilarating and informative off-road driving experience, on the indoor Jeep track.

And speaking of hungry, our friendly clients from Chrysler and the George P Johnson Company generously treated Gordinier Group drivers, Light Speed Management staff, and QEK vehicle technicians to a bountiful Thanskgiving feast. Cheers!

Thanksgiving Cheers!

November 9-18, 2012

Camp Jeep rolled into Miami to be a part of the 42nd South Florida International Auto Show

While several other automotive brands have piggybacked onto the auto show ride & drive wave, Camp Jeep still draws the most participation and buzz.

This year, SFIA guests were given the first public opportunity to ride in the all new Jeep Wrangler Moab Edition

With its combination of off-road prowess and interior comfort, it is no surprise that the 2013 Wrangler Moab has been named “4×4 of the Year” by Peterson’s 4 Wheel & Off Road magazine

Along with the Moab, guests were treated to rides in the Wrangler Rubicon, Grand Cherokee Trailhawk, Liberty, Compass and Patriot.
