The Gordinier Group Ram Truck Team saddled up at the MGM Grand Casino for the last weekend of the NFR.

Guests of the event were treated to a simulated off-road track built specifically for the full line of Ram trucks present at NFR. For the second year in a row, we were able to take over the MGM valet area, with GG pro drivers behind the wheel of a dozen of the hottest 2013/2014 Ram trucks.

The biggest news at the NFR was the introduction of the 2014 Motor Trend Truck of the Year: Ram 1500 EcoDiesel to the test ride track. This was our first chance to drive this revolutionary vehicle, as it has yet to be released to dealers. We are feeling pretty lucky, being able to offer the first public rides in the 2014 Jeep Cherokee and now the 2014 Ecodiesel Ram!

To say that the EcoDiesel handled the off-road course easily is an understatement. With its 240 HP and amazing 420 ft. lb. of torque, the 3.0L V6 powerplant barely broke a sweat on the 30-degree ascent of the Ram Mountain. Without the badging on the side, you wouldn’t know that you weren’t in a 5.7L Hemi 1500 (except, of course that you would be getting up to 27 mpg).  People swarmed around our 3 EcoDiesels as soon as they arrived at the track. This truck should kill it in the light duty, 1/2 ton truck market.

Alongside the off-road course, guests got a chance to experience a towing ride in the 2014 Ram 3500 HO, with best-in-class 385HP and an astounding 850 ft. lb. of torque (not to mention BIC 30,000 lb. towing capacity).

NFR is always a great event for the Gordinier Group. With a perfect location and knowledgeable cowboy consumer-base, we are able to have great impact on the grass-roots truck market.
